Christ-Centredness

We value Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
We value intimate relationship with God through worship, prayer and the study of God’s Word.
We value the Word of God as the final authority in all areas of life.

"And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy."

— Col. 1:18

Spiritual Family/Ubuntu

We value the body of Christ as the family of God and the biblical community of individuals walking in authentic relationships.
We value marriage and children as a gift from God and the God-ordained purpose and partnership of every generation.

"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."

— Rom. 12:4-5

Discipleship

We value being followers of Christ in every area of life and therefore value sound biblical  teaching, the personal application of God’s  Word and a commitment to authentic relationships.

"It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

— Eph. 4: 11-13

Evangelism

We value expressing the heart of God for lost people using every available means to bring them to Christ.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

— Matt. 28: 18-20

Leadership

We value the God-given mandate to lead.
We value servanthood as a foundation for all leadership and we value biblically-based team leadership that equips and empowers every member to lead in all walks of life.

"When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. Jesus called them together and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant."

— Matt. 20: 24-26

Nation Building

We value our God-given responsibilities to be salt, light and leaven in civil society.
We value the stewardship of a biblical worldview that engages and transforms our communities.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

— Matt. 5:13-16
